PCA was formed in 1987 as an umberella organisation to provide a forum for many smaller community organisations, which were operating at the time, to become part of a coherent forum and voice the concerns and needs of the local Pakistani community.
With passage of time it became unnecessary to have so many different bodies representing various sections of the community and eventually most of the smaller associations ceased to work independently and started to work under one community association. This reduced duplication of effort and by pooling scarece manpower resource PCA was able to work more effectively as a representative body highlighting the needs of the community with service providers.
PCA is a registered charity constituted to provide activities to meet the social, welfare and cultural needs of its membership.
